Welcome to summer, yawning, long days and a deep appreciation of fathers. Sunshine late into the evening, clear skies with halogen stars; it's hard not to love June.
This month is associated with Juno, and "the idea of vital force, fullness of vital energy, eternal youthfulness"*... we remember summertime break, its decadent freedom, and we're back there once more.
We thank our fathers for all they've done, both the extraordinary and everyday kindnesses. That means you, Dad (the editors).
Enjoy this month's pieces.
